| Q: |

What is Marketing Recruiters Network? |
| A: |
|
We are a nationwide network of executive search firms
with a significant focus in marketing jobs. Our clients
include primarily consumer packaged goods and other consumer
products companies, as well as top marketing agencies.
These marketing recruiters can assist you with your job
search, and provide you with access to marketing jobs
nationwide. The jobs that we work with include product
management, marketing research, consumer promotions, product
development, category management, and all other kinds
of marketing management. At the request of those clients,
you will also find some management jobs in sales and other
MBA-related disciplines. |

|
| Q: |
|
What is the purpose of www.MarketingRecruitersNetwork.com? |
| A: |
|
This is a niche website providing you with access to
marketing jobs in consumer products companies nationwide.
It provides our candidates the ability to easily review
these positions, and to connect to top marketing recruiters.
It provides our clients with access to the best marketing
professionals working through those recruiters. |
| |
|
|
| Q: |
|
What are the advantages of going through
a recruiter? |
| A: |
|
Because of the access and the credibility that we have
with our clients. Each client works with us because they
trust us. Your resume goes into our clients via that pre-existing
relationship instead of being sent by email to a room
of clerks reviewing hundreds of non-qualified resumes
from multiple mega-sites. You are entering the client
company from a position of strength, instead of depending
on a roll of the dice as to whether your resume even sees
the light of day. |
| |
|
|
| Q: |
|
What are the costs of the service to me? |
| A: |
|
This service is free. All it takes is a few minutes
a day (or less frequently if you so choose) to review
our listings and to respond to those where you believe
there is a mutual fit. |
| |
|
|
| Q: |
|
I’m not currently actively seeking
a new career . . . why should I visit your site? |
| A: |
|
To answer when opportunity knocks, you have to first
know that they are knocking. Some of the best career changes
have been with candidates who were not actively looking,
but who were introduced to a new opportunity through us
– an opportunity they weren’t even looking
for. It only takes a few minutes a day, and you never
know when that perfect next career move will knock at
this door. |
| |
|
|
| Q: |
|

within marketing from associate product managers to executive
vice-presidents. The disciplines in which we work include:

|
|
| Q: |
|
What types of companies and industries
do you represent as your clients? |
| A: |
|
We work with all sizes of consumer companies, ranging
from some of the top brands in the world to smaller entrepreneurial
firms. We also work with clients on a coast-to-coast basis,
plus internationally. We really have no geographic boundaries
at all.
A substantial portion of our business is focused in
Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG). This includes companies
such as food, beverage, wine/spirits, HBC, OTC, and
nutraceuticals. Other industries served are RX drug,
Consulting, D-I-Y/Home Décor, small appliances
and consumer durables, social expressions, SHOPA (school,
home and office products), consumer electronics, toys
and other children’s products, etc. |

|
|
| Q: |
|
Why don’t you allow me to post my
resume to your web site? |
| A: |
|
Maybe a better question is “Why do other web sites
ask me to post a resume, and with what results?”
The answer is that, in posting a resume, any number of
other people can see it – for example your boss...
We believe in you being the master of your own destiny
– and that means you sending your resume to a recruiter
for one or more positions where you have a specific interest
– positions where you already can see that the location,
title, responsibilities, and opportunity appear to be
a good fit for you. |
| |
|
|
| Q: |
|
Will my information be handled confidentially? |
| A: |
|
That is another reason why we don’t encourage
the posting of resumes for others to review. Candidate
confidentiality is one of our priorities. We do not want
to provide even the possibility of one of your associates,
or your present employer, learning that you are looking
for a new job. Instead, this site provides the ability
for you to send your resume directly to us – and
we, in turn, will handle that resume in a most confidential
manner. Your resume will never be sent to a client company
without your prior approval. |

|
|
| Q: |
|
What if I prefer to work with one individual
recruiter in your group? |
| A: |
|
Then feel free to do so. This is a network precisely
because it permits our candidates and our clients to work
through a single preferred contact if they so wish, all
while being linked to the vast resources of all of our
members. Feel free to visit our affiliate list. Each of
us is a top professional – each of us works on a
national scope, so geographic location is unimportant
– and each of us focuses a major part of our resources
in the areas of consumer marketing and sales management. |
| |
|
|
| Q: |
|
Can you be of assistance to a new graduate
from an MBA or other post-graduate program? |
| A: |
|
Most of the time, it is very difficult for us to be
of any meaningful assistance to a new graduate. The reason
is because our clients are enlisting our help to find
that unique candidate with a pre-existing base of experience
in those areas where they need the most help. However,
there are exceptions. If you are an individual who already
had solid marketing or sales experience before going back
for your MBA, it is very possible that we can help you
with your next career step. |
| |
|
|
| Q: |
|
Can you be of assistance to someone who
wants to enter the marketing or sales profession for the
first time? |
| A: |
|
Almost never. We don’t like that answer any more
than you do, but as you review our positions you will
find that they all call for a certain number of minimum
years of experience. Our clients have engaged our services
to identify pre-existing skills and talent that they need
to bring into their organization. We virtually never work
at an entry level. However, feel free to visit us in the
future after you have established that initial experience. |
| |
|
|
| Q: |
|
How can a recruiter become a member of
your organization? |
| A: |
|
This is an interesting question. Not just everyone can
join. In fact, in every single year following our initial
formation, we have turned down more prospective members
than we have accepted. One reason for this is that we
are not an organization that exists for the purpose of
building membership dues. We are an organization that
exists to provide a top level of service to both candidates
and clients – and, as a result, our membership is
very select. If you are a top performing executive search
firm, and you are interested in exploring membership in
our organization, send an email to membership@marketingrecruitersnetwork.com
or contact one of the members in our affiliate list. |

What if I have additional questions
beyond the information covered here? |
| A: |

As indicated earlier, please feel free to contact any
of the affiliate members listed in our directory. They
will be happy to answer your questions.
